Temple of the Sun
Based in Byron Bay, Temple of the Sun is an ethically-made jewellery brand known for their Modern Ancient aesthetic. Founders Darren and Yonna were looking to update the site to one that was customer-first, whilst reflecting the premium nature of the brand and letting their stunning imagery shine.
Together, we built a feature-rich Shopify site made with flexibility and longevity in mind. The designs were led by UX e-commerce best practices, bespoke customisations and stronger SEO foundations – ensuring that we created a site that was both beautifully aesthetic and high converting.

ROLE
Website Designer
Temple of the Sun have an incredibly wide catalogue of products – ranging from their core range, to campaign-led collections, to ceremonial solid gold jewellery.
In response, I designed a series of Product Listing Page (PLP) templates with customisable content blocks and curated customer care information. This created an opportunity to further educate and engage customers with the Temple of the Sun brand – compensating for the experience they'd otherwise receive in store.
These PLPs were supported by an in-depth product filter, allowing customers to easily find the product they desire.
As Temple of the Sun's jewellery is listed at a premium price point, we wanted to ensure customers could make their purchases with confidence and ease. Aside from the usual in-depth description details and diverse range of imagery, we also included the customer care information that corresponded to the product's core collection.
Aside from an intuitive shopping experience, it was important to the Temple of the Sun team that we clearly communicated the initiatives, processes and thoughtfulness behind the product. I chose to convey this information in a more editorial manner, creating a visual distinction between the brand and shopping sides of the site.
